BF "Right to Protection" (hereinafter - the Foundation) is a charitable organization that focuses its activities on providing assistance to internally displaced persons (IDPs), victims of war, refugees and stateless persons. The Fund is an executive partner of the UNHCR and monitors the situation of protection of the rights of IDPs, providing legal assistance and strengthening the humanitarian response in 22 regions of Ukraine, and also promotes changes in the national legal base, bringing it into line with international standards in the field of human rights.

The position will operate within the framework of the project “Provision of protection and assistance services with asylum for IDPs, returnees and war-affected population in Accountability:Consultant; font-style: normal; text-decoration: none">For IDPs and victims of public services

GENERAL POSITION DESCRIPTION"> will provide legal education, information and counseling services to victims of armed aggression, including internally displaced persons, on issues of access to protection and state services. The main goal of the activity is to expand access to legal services, promote legal literacy among displaced persons and affected communities. 

mandatory online trainings, evaluation of acquired knowledge in the provided form (online); support of the Foundation's lawyers;

  • Providing informationinforming about the methods of obtaining legal assistance free of charge;

  • Understanding and following the Code of Conduct and other Foundation policies.

  • PROFESSIONAL REQUIREMENTS

    • Full general secondary education, the presence of higher education or secondary special education in humanitarian or economic direction will be an advantage;

    • Interest, motivation and readiness to perform the role of a consultant, sociability, politeness and a proactive attitude towards providing support to people in difficult life situations;

    • Understanding the importance of legal aid for IDPs and other war victims;

    • Willingness to get acquainted under the mentorship of lawyers with the system of free legal aid in Ukraine and the humanitarian mechanisms of providing legal aid in the country and community of residence/stay;

    • Sufficient life experience, interpersonal communication skills, empathy and patience in working with IDPs and other victims;

    • Proficiency in the Ukrainian language;

    • Availability of a personal computer (or laptop/tablet) with Internet access, skills in using such programs as: MS Word, Google Forms, Google Sheets, ZOOM, Google Meet;

    • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.

     WE OFFER

    The Foundation offers the successful candidate:

    • Contract until the end of June 2026 with the possibility of extension depending on further funding and personal work results;

    • Psychological support;

    • Flexibility of work/lunch hours; hybrid format - offline in the place of residence/online;

    • Educational materials for familiarization, short training process online, mentoring support of lawyers during the entire period of cooperation;

    • The fee for the services provided is approximately UAH 12,000 per month, the Fund pays all taxes and fees independently.
