Medical Teams International adheres to strict principles of protection of children and vulnerable adults, as well as a policy of zero tolerance for misconduct related to sexual harassment, exploitation and violence in the workplace and other places where the organization operates. Along with technical competence, recruitment and selection, hiring decisions will pay due attention to evaluating candidates' suitability through thorough background checks, absence of criminal convictions, and professional reference checks.

Medical Teams announces a competition for the position of Community Outreach Officer

Duties:

  • Coordinate community health and mental health activities including health information, MHPSS information and documentation across the team of health care and MHPSS and volunteers.
  • Development and implementation of trainings and provision of recommendations to volunteers in the Mykolaiv and Kherson regions.
  • Strengthen the connection of health care institutions with the community

  • Collaborate with stakeholders in the community to ensure service uptake and dissemination of health information to the community
  • Work closely with the monitoring and evaluation specialist to improve data collection systems in the community, including organizing training for volunteers.
  • Analyze health data and programs; make recommendations for program improvement and contribute to periodic program reports.
  • Participate in the planning of future programs/projects and community outreach program reports.
  • Represent Medical Teams at technical and coordination meetings with partner organizations, local authorities, the UN and other NGOs
  • Other duties as assigned by the direct manager or management in general.

Requirements for candidates:

  • Higher education, preferably in the field of health care, psychology
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in project implementation in healthcare
  • Knowledge of community engagement and grievance management techniques
  • Ability to develop relationships to strengthen social support networks
  • Data analysis and report writing skills
  • li>
  • Ability to use Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
  • Ability to use Kobo Toolbox and/or other digital data collection tools
  • English language not lower than A2
  • Initiative , sociability, responsibility
  • Willingness to go "to the fields" 3-4 days a week (districts of the Mykolaiv and Kherson regions)
