Community Manager in mod.io

This is a remote position open to candidates based in a Central European Market time zone. The role may require occasional early working hours to accommodate collaboration with our head office in Melbourne. Proven community experience in the games industry is essential.Your Purpose (how You Help Mod.io)You are responsible for coordinating mod.io community and communications activities and initiatives, reinforcing our position as a leading mod support & User-Generated Content (UGC) solution. You work on mod.io own deliverables, as well as in collaboration with partners on their own UGC related activities, with a specific focus on content moderation and developing relations with modders and UGC creators.RequirementsWhat you'll be doing:Community Management & Creators RelationsDevelop mod.io's relations with our community of modders and UGC creators; including establishing a private community for verified creatorsBe the face of mod.io for UGC creators, and their privileged point of contact for developing their relations with us as a platformTake responsibility for moderation and management of our public Discord serverCollaborate with partners to support their UGC-related community activities and go-to-market plans, such as creators early access, modding competitions, or creators commissions. Content ModerationBe responsible for mod.io content moderation at the platform level, ensuring compliance with DMCA reports procedures and application of our Terms of Use. Coordinate moderation efforts with partners, including processing user reports, as well as reviewing and approving content for various platformsWork in close collaboration with mod.io partners, both in settings where moderation is a joint responsibility, and in cases where it's outsourced to mod.ioCommunications & Marketing SupportSupport mod.io communications team with copywriting and content creation (web, blog, newsletter)Participate in advising and supporting our partners on their UGC Go-To-Market strategy and plansCultureEmbody our values, setting an example for others to follow, which strives for and delivers the best outcomes for our partners and prospects with the available resourcesEmbrace feedback, ensuring constructive feedback is given and received in the right wayProvide clear communication ensuring all interactions (meetings etc.) are effective and ensure processes are lightweight and serve a clear purposeSkills And ExperienceWhat you'll bring:Proven professional experience in community management in the video game industry, a good portfolio is appreciated. Very strong communications and interpersonal skills, and an excellent ability to collaborate with a wide range of people ranging from individual content creators to game developers and publishersA good understanding of the modding / UGC ecosystem and the role it plays in the video games industryExperience managing community platforms such as Discord, and working with social media. Ability to work autonomously and efficiently in an international, remote environmentAn interest in working in a fast-paced environment and in a small team where autonomy and initiative are encouraged.
