DAI is seeking highly qualified candidates to occupy a full-time Communications Specialist position to work on the recently awarded Promoting Integrity in the Public Sector Activity (Pro-Integrity), a $90 million, multiyear contract funded by USAID.PROJECT BACKGROUNDThe USAID Promoting Integrity in the Public Sector Activity (Pro-Integrity) will concentrate on addressing three narrow development challenges within its manageable interest and influence to overcome corruption risks at the national institutional level, local government level, and related to Ukraine’s recovery and reconstruction. Specifically, these include:Anti-Corruption Institutional Challenges: Nascent anti-corruption institutions facing depleted human resources and budget austerity during wartime face challenges guaranteeing adequate corruption prevention, deterrence, and the inevitability of punishment for corruption offenses.Weak Anti-Corruption Controls in Local Government: Weak anti-corruption compliance and control measures in local communities, depleted human resources, and humanitarian emergencies during wartime challenge adequate corruption prevention, deterrence, and the inevitability of punishment for corruption offenses at the local level.Recovery and Reconstruction Corruption Risks: Unresolved corruption risks due to the lack of internal control, non-transparent procedure, and weak civil oversight over key reconstruction processes, including infrastructure restoration, asset management, and environmental recovery, create risks for transparent and accountable reconstruction and recovery.The Pro-Integrity Activity will pursue a problem-driven approach addressing the root causes through targeted objectives aligned with the Mission and U.S. Government strategy.POSITION DESCRIPTIONThe Communications Specialist will support the development, implementation, and production of internal and external communications products and activities. S/he will also support the Communications Director in developing and realizing the project’s communications strategy and plan and any corresponding systems or schedules, etc.KEY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIESSupport the design and development of the project communications strategy and plan, and of corresponding messaging plans and calendars, formats and templates, and systems.Compile and draft project communications products such as brochures, fact sheets, event materials, infographics, newsletters, presentations, social media content, success stories, talking points, and other materials.Contribute to preparing, writing, and editing contractual deliverables, including regular project reporting such as annual work plans and reports.Coordinate with project staff, consultants, partners, beneficiaries, and other contributors or stakeholders to collect information to inform the development of communications products, including conducting interviews with project beneficiaries and stakeholders.Proofread and edit communications products to provide appropriate quality assurance and control and ensure compliance with relevant USAID and FCDO branding and marking guidelines.Support the maintenance and management of Pro-Integrity communications productsto ensure they are easily accessible for project staff's reference.Support the development of digital and social media campaigns and help manage the project website and sociate media accounts and messaging.Coordinate the planning and implementation of project events, including meetings, conferences, and workshops.Develop and disseminate toolkits and materials for events, blogs, and learning products, as applicable.As necessary, represent Pro-Integrity at meetings, conferences, and other events.Ensure the accuracy and consistency of public-facing materials.Contribute to and participate in relevant capacity building and training activities to build the capacity of staff and partners to support communications and marketing activities.Other tasks as assigned by the Communications Director of the Chief of the Party.QUALIFICATIONSA bachelor’s degree, preferably in a relevant field of study such as communications, journalism, marketing, or international development.A minimum of eight (8) years of relevant professional experience, including substantive experience in writing, editing, and other communications activities.Prior experience supporting communications activities on a USAID- or other international donor-funded development project preferred.Exceptional writing and editing skills.Ability to effectively manage multiple concurrent tasks and competing priorities, excellent organizational skills, and attention to detail.Strong interpersonal communication and collaborative teamworking skills.Demonstrated proficiency with MS Office applications, including Word and PowerPoint, required; additional demonstrated proficiency in the use of graphic arts/design, data visualization, and/or other applications relevant for the development of communications products preferred.Fluency in Ukrainian with excellent oral and written communications skills required, plus professional proficiency reading, writing, and speaking English.APPLICATION INSTRUCTIONS Qualified individuals with disabilities are encouraged to apply.Please submit your Cover Letter and CV to
