We work alongside our partners, farmers and growers, farms, markets, and consumers as we strive to make our region a global leader in local food production and consumption.Our Vision: A region in which food systems promote social, environmental, and economic resilience.Communication Content Specialist and Brand Storyteller Job ResponsibilitiesCommunication & Storytelling- Develop and execute strategic communication plans to enhance the utility's brand image through various channels, including web, social media, and print.- Create engaging and creative content for brand channels, utilizing graphics, video, and photography.- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure message consistency and obtain necessary approvals for content.- Manage content on social media platforms, implementing day-to-day strategy and content deployment.- Research and write articles for newsletters and trade publications, as well as distribute press releases.- Monitor and report on the performance impact of all content and social marketing efforts.- Coordinate media coverage and pitch interviews, articles, and speaking engagements for executives.- Work with partner agencies to plan and execute public relations campaigns, events, and publicity efforts.- Plan, create, implement, manage and monitor website.Social Media Management- Utilize social media marketing tools to establish and maintain the company’s brand presence.- Collaborate with marketing professionals to develop and implement social media marketing campaigns.- Engage with customers and stakeholders through the company's social media accounts.- Analyze the company’s digital marketing and social media strategies, identifying areas for improvement.- Stay informed about social media trends and recommend relevant changes to the company’s marketing activities.- Establish key performance indicators for social media campaigns and measure performance against set targets.Work Hours and Benefits- Work hours are typically 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., with occasional weekend work for special events.- This position may offer a hybrid work schedule, with in-person meetings required with the Executive Director.- Employee benefits include comprehensive health plans, paid vacation and sick leave, and opportunities for professional growth.Skills and Qualifications- Proficiency in media relations and experience using social media platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, and LinkedIn.- Familiarity with community food systems and their impact on urban regions.- Strong self-motivation, team collaboration, and ability to work well under pressure.- Excellent communication skills and proactive approach to obtaining interviews for story content.- Basic skills in digital video editing and photo editing.- Some travel may be required, and a valid driver's license is necessary.Education and Experience Requirements- Bachelor's degree in journalism, marketing, public relations, business administration, or a related field.- 5-8 years of experience in marketing, community relations, advertising, or a related field.- Demonstrated storytelling skills across print, web, and social media channels.Expected Salary Range- Salary range is expected to be $50,000-$60,000, commensurate with experience.Carolina Farm Trust is an equal opportunity employer, providing equal employment opportunities without regard to race, color, religion, sex, age, sexual orientation, genetic information, disability, veteran status, or other protected characteristics.
