Communications Assistant in Digital Security Lab Ukraine

The Digital Security Laboratory is a public organization that provides digital security support to human rights defenders, journalists, independent media and other civil society organizations in Ukraine, and also works to create a favorable environment for the realization of digital human rights through analysis and development of recommendations on state policy in the field media, internet freedom and governance. We are looking for a person to strengthen our communications team. The communications assistant will work under the direction of the communications manager to prepare communication materials and help with the presence of the Digital Lab in social networks and other online platforms. Main tasks and responsibilities: create publications for social networks and the organization's websites, adapt content for various digital channels; together with the communications department manager to fill and regularly update the content plan; interact with audience in direct mail and comments, coordinate with project teams to resolve individual requests from the audience; provide communication support for organization events; assist project teams in the preparation of informational materials in Ukrainian and English (mails, announcements, press releases, etc.); assist in planning, development and implementation communication campaigns and manifestations of the organization; other tasks from the communication manager. You are an ideal candidate, if: you have work experience in the field of communications from 1 year, work experience in the public sector will be an advantage; you have a perfect command of the Ukrainian language, and English - at a level not lower than Upper-Intermediate; you have a basic understanding of the principles of graphic design and know how to use graphic editors (Photoshop/ Illustrator/Figma/Canva); you are comfortable working both in a team and independently; you already have an FOP or are ready to quickly open one; you have a desire to develop, delve into new topics, master the field of communications; initiative, creativity, attention to detail, responsibility - this is about you.
