We work with businesses, civil society actors and research institutions, fostering successful interaction between development policy and other policy fields and areas of activity. Our main commissioning party is the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ). The commissioning parties and cooperation partners all place their trust in GIZ, and we work with them to generate ideas for political, social and economic change, to develop these into concrete plans and to implement them. On behalf of the German government, the EU, and other donors, GIZ is already supporting Ukraine in its reconstruction efforts. The focus is on building municipal and social infrastructure, ensuring reliable energy supplies and strengthening the Ukrainian economy. At the same time, GIZ is supporting the country on its path towards EU accession. It provides advice on necessary reforms and drives the modernisation of public administration. Its decades-long record of cooperation and a network spanning the entire country mean that GIZ is well placed to offer tailored support that is both forward-looking and responsive to citizens’ needs. Around 600 staff work for GIZ in Ukraine, in about 45 projects.

Employment conditions
Full-time position with 40-hours working week. Place of assignment is Kyiv. The assignment starts as of 01.04.2025. Contract duration is 1 year. Prolongation is possible.
