On short notice, we are looking for a senior consultant /senior data warehouse architect with experience in banking and experience in migrating big data platforms to the cloud for a project in the banking area. Ideally, he/she would have already participated as an architect in a cloud migration in banking (or in a heavily regulated industry). This person is expected to help the client define the strategy, build the roadmap, and plan the project to migrate the bank's data warehouse (Oracle) to the cloud (based on Azure or Google Cloud). The bank is considering a simultaneous data remodel at this point. The talk is about DataVault, a data mesh. Experience with specific technologies at this stage is secondary. What is important is a good understanding of the challenges of such a large migration in the financial industry, an understanding of cloud-based data platforms, and the ability to discuss with a high level of managers. Proven experience as a senior consultant or data warehouse architect (preferably in banking industry). Extensive background in migrating data platforms to the cloud. Demonstrated expertise in strategizing and executing cloud migrations in heavily regulated industries. Strong understanding of cloud-based data platforms, with a preference for Azure or Google Cloud. Ability to communicate effectively with senior management and stakeholders. Familiarity with modern data architecture principles such as DataVault and data mesh. Excellent project management skills with the ability to lead complex initiatives. Collaborative mindset with the capability to work effectively with cross-functional teams. Continuous learning mindset to stay updated with industry trends and technologies.
