C++ Developer (Qt, AWS or Azure) in Luxoft

One of the world's largest providers of products and services to the energy industry has a need to develop and support cloud-based enterprise information system in Oil & Gas domain.
Our project is stable, long-term and constantly adopts new technologies.

Work supposes close cooperation with Customer team located in Houston and following Agile principles.
Our team is senior, supportive and friendly.

Responsibilities:

- Work with the development team following Landmarks Agile development practices.

- Design, estimate, implement features and bug fixes as prioritized by the Product Owner.
- Maintain a high level of quality in coding, writing unit tests, documentation and testing thoroughly before passing it to QA for verification.
- Keep up to date with existing and emerging technologies relevant to the role.
- Communicate and escalate issues in a clear and timely manner.

Mandatory Skills Description:

- Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent.
- 1+ years of experience in Software development with excellent understanding of design principles and best practice.
- Some experience with medium to large scale cloud platform development (AWS or Azure), deployment, automation, and support.
- Experience in Software development using C/C++ on Linux/Windows platforms.
- Experience in UI development using Qt.
- Experience with multithreading programming.
- Familiarity with build pipeline tools and technologies such as: Jenkins, Gitlab Runner.
- Experience writing unit tests.
- Experience working in an agile environment.
- Must be self-motivated but needs to work well in a team environment.
- Good analytical, communication and problem-solving skills.

Nice-to-Have Skills Description:

- Experience with Javascript, Matrix Math, SQL.
- Mathematical skills to develop new and maintain existing algorithms.
- Familiarity with secure development and static code analysis.
- Experience working in the Oil and Gas industry.
- Networking in the Cloud (DevOps), knowledge of firewalls, load balancers.
- Experience using IaC using Terraform/Go, familiarity with Ansible and Terragrunt.
- Familiarity working with Git and Azure DevOps.
