In this role, you will be able to work with experienced engineers, influence architectural decisions, shape goals for the team, and have an impact on our Unimeal, MadMuscles, and HARNA applications. Backend Team Lead is not just a team manager, but a leader who knows how and likes to work with challenges: to maintain the stability and quality of team work, to improve their efficiency, to develop the talent of engineers and to continue the strategic development of the company's mobile applications. Stack: PHP, Symfony, MySQL, MongoDB, Redis, Memcached, RabbitMQ, Kafka, ElasticSearch, Centrifugo, Docker, Kubernetes, AWS. Team: 8 Middle+/Senior level engineers interacting with mobile teams development (iOS, Android), product and infrastructure (DevOps). Your key tasks: Backend management of the team, influence on processes, goals and development of engineers, hiring new engineers to the team Making key architectural decisions at the team level, solving problems of scalability, stability and security applications Development and support of monitoring and observability systems, as well as incident management Cooperation with cross-functional teams (iOS, Android, Web Backend, DevOps/Platform) for a comprehensive solution tasks Writing code (if possible) Key requirements: Experience in Backend (PHP) development for more than 6 years Experience in managing an engineering team (from 8 engineers) for more than 2 years Practical skills with PHP, Symfony, MySQL/PostgreSQL Experience with caching systems (Memcached or Redis) and queues ( RabbitMQ or Kafka) Experience in developing highly available systems (including monitoring, observability and management incidents)Knowledge of SDLC: understanding of DevOps/SRE principles and modern development methodologiesAt AMO, we create conditions that allow you to combine professional growth with self-care, and offer: - Rest and balance. Went from Backend Engineer to Head of Engineering (Team Lead, Engineering Manager, Head, CTO) and helped teams at key stages of product development from idea to scaling. Over 4 years of work, the engineering team has grown to more than 50 people. Zhenya is looking for a person in the team who is an experienced leader, able to effectively and independently manage teams, cooperate with product teams, and has a good breadth of knowledge to understand all aspects of the system's operation.
