The Ukrainian Red Cross is looking for an experienced manager of internal audit with SIA and/or ACCA qualifications (or in the process of obtaining them), who will report to the head of internal audit.

In this position you will conduct complex internal audit projects aimed at identifying weaknesses in operational and financial processes, testing the internal control system and complying with organizational internal audit policies and procedure. Lead the audit team to complete audits as efficiently as possible with minimal supervisor oversight. Develop recommendations, coordinate them with the audited project manager and monitor their implementation.

Requirements for the candidate:

  • Master/Bachelor in Auditing, Economics, Business or Accounting
  • At least 5 yearsexperience work in internal audit
  • Level of English language proficiency - Upper-Intermediate (B2) - written/spoken;
  • Certificate internal auditor( CIA) and Association of Chartered Certified Accountants(ACCA),or in related fields (CFE, CISA, CMA, CPA) will be an advantage;
  • Experience in international organizations (humanitarian sector) will be an advantage
  • Work and management experience in the field of internal audit or risk management.
  • Ability to influence and build strong relationships with different types of people at all levels of the organization
  • Professional user: Microsoft Office 365
  • Readiness for domestic and international business trips (up to 20%)
  • Written and oral communication skills in Ukrainian.

Your tasks:

  • Risk assessment and annual planning audit: Participate in the organization's risk assessment and assist the head of the CA in the preparation of the annual audit plan.
  • Comprehensive audits: Conducting complex audits covering the stages of planning, field work, execution of audit procedures and reporting.
  • Audit recommendations: Providing recommendations based on audit results and ensuring effective control over their implementation.
  • Relationships with stakeholders: Establish and maintain trusting relationships with audit stakeholders and local management to promote collaboration and transparency.

Additional tasks:

  • Team Development: Train, supervise and facilitate the development of audit team members to empower them and contribute to the overall success of the team.
