The Right to Protection, CF
BF "Right to Protection" (hereinafter - the Foundation) is a charitable organization that focuses its activities on providing assistance to internally displaced persons (IDPs), victims of military operations, refugees and stateless persons. The Fund is an executive partner of the UNHCR and monitors the situation of the protection of the rights of IDPs, providing legal assistance and strengthening the humanitarian response in 22 regions of Ukraine, and also promotes changes in the national legal base, bringing it into line with international standards in the field of human rights.
GENERAL INFORMATION ABOUT POSITION
The candidate must have a high level of integrity, responsibility and punctuality. He/she must also share the values and ethics of the Foundation and be guided by them in the performance of work tasks and in communication with colleagues. He/she should be a good team player. Assistant to the Program Director provides daily operational, analytical and coordination support to the Program Director, contributes to the effective implementation of programs, consistency of management processes and timely implementation of decisions.
GENERAL INFORMATION ABOUT THE POSITION
The Assistant Program Director reports directly to the Program Director and works in close cooperation with program managers, regional coordinators, support departments, partners and donors of the Foundation. The position involves a high level of responsibility, confidentiality, organization and the ability to work with a large amount of information in a dynamic humanitarian context.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITY
Performance of daily operational, coordination and organizational tasks as assigned by the Program Director efficiently and within the established deadlines.
Preparation of analytical materials, reports and summaries regarding the Fund's program activities.
Assisting the Program Director in planning, implementing and monitoring the Fund's programs and projects.
Organizational support for the preparation and holding of internal and external meetings, meetings, coordination sessions and events with the participation of the Program Director.
Keeping minutes of key management and program meetings, recording decisions, agreements and responsible persons, monitoring the implementation of decisions.
Analyzing data and information at the request of the Program Director, identifying gaps, risks and inconsistencies.
Ensuring correct document flow, saving and systematizing program information.
Maintenance of the work calendar: scheduling meetings, calls.
Planning the working week, monitoring deadlines, completing tasks and setting priorities.
Travel organization: planning routes, booking tickets, hotels and transport.
Filling and regular updating of the database of project activities (updating datasets)
Execution of other tasks delegated by the Program Director, in compliance with the principles of confidentiality, accountability and ethical standards of the Foundation.
Understanding and following the Code of Conduct, protection policies and other internal policies of the Foundation.
PROFESSIONAL REQUIREMENTS
Higher education in law, social sciences, management, public administration, international relations or related areas.
Experience in international donor projects, humanitarian or human rights programs will be an advantage.
Understanding the program cycle, humanitarian context and principles of NGO work.
Ability to work with large amounts of information, analyze, structure and summarize data.
High organizational and communication skills.
Attention to details, responsibility, punctuality.
Ability to work with priorities and several tasks simultaneously.
Fluency in the Ukrainian language; English — not lower than Intermediate (B1+), preferably higher.
Proficient in Microsoft Office / Google Workspace.
Cultural sensitivity, diplomacy, integrity.
