Junior system administrator (JuniorSysAdmin).

Employment type: Full.
Level:

Initial (possible without commercial experience, but with basic knowledge and desire to learn).

Job Objective:

Find a technically literate, responsible and communicative person to help maintain the company's IT infrastructure, perform routine tasks under the guidance of a senior system administrator, and gradually develop.

Main Responsibilities:

• Maintenance and setting up workstations (Windows, sometimes macOS/Linux).
• User support (setting up printers, Wi-Fi, mail, 1C, access, etc.).
• Creating / deleting accounts in the domain (Active Directory, Google Workspace, etc.).
• Connecting new devices to the network (PCs, IP phones, cameras, Wi-Fi points).
• Monitoring the performance of servers, cameras, routers.
• Execution of basic scripts or commands according to instructions (PowerShell, Bash).
• Keeping simple documentation (IP addresses, passwords, accounts, user requests).

Basic technical skills (preferably at least partially):

• Understanding the principles of local network operation (LAN/Wi-Fi, IP addresses, ping, DHCP, DNS).
• Basic knowledge of Windows 10/11, user settings, updates, RDP.
• Understanding what is server and client, backup, VPN.
• Welcome knowledge or desire to learn:
  1. Linux (Ubuntu / Debian)
  2. MikroTik / Ubiquiti / Fortinet
  3. FreePBX / Asterisk
  4. Nextcloud / Bitrix / 1C / Google Workspace
  5. Application systems or Telegram bots for applications (if you have one).

Personal qualities:

• Communicative, ability to calmly explain to users.
• Quick learning of new information.
• Responsibility, punctuality, neatness in work.
• Desire to develop in the IT field (networks, servers, cyber security, DevOps, etc.).
• Ability to recognize mistakes and learn from them.

What will be an advantage:

• Studies in IT specialties or courses (CCNA, CompTIA, Linux Essentials, etc.).
• Own experiments at home (virtual machines, servers, NAS, routers, own website, Telegram bot).
• Experience in supporting friends/educational environment ("hostel administrator", "set up Wi-Fi at school" is also a plus).
