Specialized TGH teams work in 11 countries in Europe, Asia, Africa and the Middle East.

TGH in Ukraine:

TGH has been operating in Ukraine since June 2016 year Having started work in Kramatorsk to support the most vulnerable sections of the population affected by the conflict in Donbas, TGH continued to provide assistance to those affected by the outbreak of full-scale war from February 2022 to October 2024 through four operational bases: in Dnipro, Vinnytsia, Cherkasy and Lviv, which provided humanitarian assistance through protection activities (case management, legal and psychosocial assistance) and basic needs (MPCA, shelter, WASH). Since October 2024, the TGH coordination office is located in Kyiv and focuses on protection and shelter in the eastern region, supporting people in need in Kharkiv, Donetsk (PUT) and Zaporizhzhia regions from its operational base in Dnipro through direct and indirect implementation . As a global connectivity specialist, in parallel TGH is also looking to expand its recovery/resilience program in the central and western regions.

TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

General purpose of the position:

Under the leadership of the humanitarian situation assessment manager, specialist assistant from the assessment of the humanitarian situation will be responsible for:

  • Contribution to all types of activities for basic needs (with housing provision, non-food aid, cash aid and water, sanitation and hygiene) including implementation, monitoring carried out by TGH in Dnipropetrovsk Region, ensuring a consistently high level of quality and control.
  • Supporting the TGH Basic Needs Team by monitoring implementation in cooperation with technical and administrative teams of stakeholders.

Responsibilities:

Program activities

  • Participate in needs assessments identified by the management team;
  • Contribute to the effective and efficient implementation of activities including distribution of non-food items, insulation and light household repairs;
  • In cooperation with the Department of Monitoring, Evaluation and Training of the Ministry of Educationmonitor and report on activities for the purpose of evaluating, promoting and sharing ideas for improvement and necessary changes in accordance with TGH frameworks and standard operating procedures;
  • Participate in community training and distribution activities assistance;
  • Ensure that all necessary information for completing the project documentation is properly and timely transferred to specialists and the manager;
  • Prepare regular internal reports and contribute to reports for donors;

  • Contribute to the development of all tools and documents, necessary for the proper conduct of activities

Logistics

  • Provide movement and distribution plans with the logistics team with sound forecasting.

REQUIREMENTS:

Required:

  • Work experience in a similar position;
  • Fluency in the Ukrainian language;
  • Skills in working with basic computer programs (Word, Excel, Outlook) ;
  • High interpersonal and communication skills;
  • Aspiration to solving problems;
  • Proactiveness, desire for initiative and cooperation.
