General information about the team / department and its role in the organization:

Regional team of Dnipropetrovsk / Kharkiv region is structurally part of the program department of the Eastern region. Its activity covers populated areas of Dnipropetrovsk and Kharkiv regions. 

The team's area of ​​responsibility includes the following sectors of activity: 1) food safety; 2) hygiene and sanitation; 3) housing and materials for life; 4) protection. 

Under the general direction of the Manager of Emergency Assistance Programs and operationally reporting to the Lead Specialist of the Housing Rehabilitation Program, the Program Assistant provides support to the program department and ensures the implementation of programs in the region. The program assistant works closely with engineers and the program administrator.

Specific duties and responsibilities:   < /p>

  • Conducts meetings with community representatives for preliminary assessment of locations, and together with them organizes interviews with beneficiaries or distribution of aid.  
  • Makes telephone calls to potential beneficiaries in order to clarify the information specified in the previous lists submitted by representatives of the local administration.
  • Conducts visits to beneficiaries, enters correct questionnaire data into the KoBo system, etc.< /li>
  • Makes photo-fixation at points during interviews with beneficiaries or distributions according to the organization's requirements. 
  • Compiles and processes the Beneficiary Database taking into account the principles of personal data protection.
  • Responsible for needs assessment and contextual analysis.  
  • Responsible for the document flow of housing restoration and non-food aid programs.
  • Implements housing restoration and non-food aid programs. 
  • Responsible for selection of beneficiaries, communication with beneficiaries, processing of personal data of beneficiaries.
  • Provides reports by programs (weekly report, reports for donors, annual reports).

    Internal relations:Works closely with program specialists, WASH engineers. Coordinates with the department of communication, logistics and finance. 

    External relations: Establishes and develops relations with local authorities, etc.by those organizations that carry out humanitarian activities and the territories of the region.

    Necessary experience and qualifications:  

    • Bachelor's degree or higher;
    • Experience in construction work and project implementation for CSO or NGO is preferred. Knowledge of humanitarian work and understanding of context;
    • Good computer skills (Word, Excel, etc.). Experience working with databases;
    • English level A2 and above;
    • Experience working with large and small groups of people. Experience in organizing distributions for the public;
    • Experience of working with local authorities (business correspondence, coordination);
    • Orientation towards result, organization of work process;
    • Flexibility, attention to details;
    • Ability to work in stressful conditions, has good organizational and communication skills.
