Our Client develops DevOps tools that improve software quality and security as well as team productivity for several of the world’s leading companies, such as PIXAR, CD Projekt Red, NASA, Verizon, Honda and NVIDIA.

Position Summary:

 

As our DevOps Engineer, you will collaborate with development and operations teams to help create reliable and rapid-release pipelines for software and updates. You will be involved with creating custom automation processes, standardizing technologies across our global application portfolio, and improving operations efficiency. You will be responsible for understanding all our extensive technologies, including tracking design bugs and automation. You will be required to document and standardize engineering procedures, build and maintain configuration and deployment frameworks, and create best practices style guides and standards. You will be responsible for the further development of our cloud platforms by utilizing business best practices.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Automate application build, deployment, and monitoring
  • Develop and maintain a Service Catalog, documenting business line service definitions, applications, services, etc.
  • Management and maintenance of our current GCP and AWS infrastructure
  • Provisioning of existing/new service/resources with best business practice
  • Identify and advocate opportunities for technical and cost-saving innovation
  • Design and help build new features and functionality that will help the platform stay current
  • Understand the technologies being used within our infrastructure
  • Scale infrastructure to meet rapidly increasing demand
  • Collaborate with developers bringing operational and security standard awareness
  • Maintain development of operational business best practices and procedures
  • Proactively meet standards for information security and compliance
  • Develop and manage the build environment, code repositories and perform release management
  • Conduct DevOps tool research, evaluation, proof of concept, installation, configuration, and training
  • Perform Continuous Integration, Continuous Delivery, Continuous Deployment, and Dev Ops processes with technologies and platforms including Python, Jenkins, GKE , Docker etc.
  • Raising support calls with vendors and involved in Root cause analysis for server and application problems.
  • Setting up Application performance monitoring and management using custom Monitoring tools.
  • Perform research, propose and prototype new principles, technologies, tools, and concepts, and integrate them into the team’s collective knowledge
  • Troubleshoot problems, outages, and performance issues.
  • Produce necessary documentation and illustrations to support the changes of the agreed technical and process solutions.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree with 5+ years of experience in DevOps and SaaSOps related field. 
  • Solid hands-on experience with cloud architectures – GCP and AWS
  • Experience with GCP: Compute, Cloudstorage, cloudrouter , Stackdriver , monitoring, Load Balancing
  • Docker management: GCP GKE knowledge
  • IaC tools: Terraform, Cloudformation are a must.
  • CI/CD: Jenkins (pipelines in Groovy), Github Actions
  • Scripting: Python or any other scripting language.
  • Able to take an ownership of team’s infrastructure.
  • Cloud security, compliance, and network design.
  • Demonstrated ability to adapt to new technologies and learn quickly
  • Utilizes the DevOps model approach
  • Must have strong communication and analytical skills, able to work collaboratively with a variety of technical and non-technical groups
