Data Architect in SMART STAFFING

Responsibilities

• Create the target architecture of our data landscape
• Design how to embed 3rd party services and tools (such as an ERP system or Marketing partner’s data)
• Support data engineers to create the data models in an efficient and future-proof way
• Advise which resources are necessary to run a successful project
• Guide the team towards an observable setup and provide basic reports
• Work closely together with the cross-functional project team
• Drive (or help drive) the implementation of data lineage across the data environments, ensuring proper documentation is created, available, and maintained

Requirements

• Strong experience in building migration projects from legacy systems (like MySQL database) to Databricks and/or Snowflake with proven success
• Solid understanding of the challenges that each of the platforms (Databricks, SnowFlake, MySQL, etc.) brings – and knowing how to solve them
• Experience in solving the challenges around a data warehouse migration to an ERP system in previous jobs you worked in
• 3+ years of experience with AWS and its data-related services, such as RDS, Kinesis, and others
• Ability to use both platforms (Databricks and Snowflake) and understand the differences and difficulties in regard to the creation of reports – and can guide our data analysts on how to use the system
• Experience in integration 3rd party tools and services such as Amplitude
• Experience with ERP systems and their integration with Databricks/Snowflake
