This is a data role at its core. If most of your experience is in web/backend development or on AWS/Azure, this position is probably not the right fit.
Your day-to-day
- Design data flows in BigQuery: loading data incrementally, setting up scheduled queries and data transfers
- Ship small services and jobs on Cloud Run and Cloud Functions, triggered by Cloud Scheduler
- Keep access and credentials in order across many GCP projects with IAM and Secret Manager, and watch everything in Cloud Monitoring
- Connect external tools and data sources through APIs, webhooks and SFTP
- Add AI to the workflows: call OpenAI, DeepSeek or Perplexity APIs and write the prompts that make the output reliable
- Write clean Python, version it in Git, and package it with Docker
You'll fit if you have
- 2+ years of hands-on, commercial experience with BigQuery and GCP services
- Shipped at least one production workflow that uses an LLM API
- Built integrations with REST APIs, webhooks and SFTP
- Confidence working independently across multiple projects at once
- Fluent English: you'll talk to US stakeholders directly
- Availability for full-time work during US Pacific (PST) business hours
- Examples of your work you can share: GitHub, case studies or detailed project write-ups
Bonus points
- Terraform, n8n, Supabase/Postgres, Clay or Google Meridian
- Background in marketing tech or lead scoring
- A habit of keeping cloud and LLM bills low
What you get
- Long-term, full-time remote engagement
- Direct work with a US client
- [Rate / compensation]
- [Contract type]
