Their mission is to assist small and mid-cap crypto projects by making markets on their tokens across decentralized and centralized exchanges. They operate in a non-custodial fashion, ensuring security and transparency in all our dealings.

Job Overview 

They are seeking a highly skilled and hands-on Chief Technology Officer (CTO) to join their founding team in a fully virtual role. As the CTO, you will be joining at ground zero, playing a pivotal role in building and scaling our technology from the ground up. This is a hands-on position where you will be deeply involved in all aspects of development, infrastructure management, and security. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, a calm demeanor, and the ability to work effectively with a diverse, geographically distributed team across Asia and Eastern Europe. Key Responsibilities 

-  Hands-On Development:  Take full ownership of the design, coding, testing, and deployment of our software solutions. In the startup phase, you will be the primary developer, working closely with the team to bring our vision to life.

-  Documentation:  Create and maintain thorough, clear, and organized documentation for all systems, processes, and code to ensure scalability and ease of knowledge transfer.

-  Security Management:  Implement and manage robust security protocols across all systems, ensuring compliance with industry standards and safeguarding data integrity.

-  Server Management:  Oversee the deployment, configuration, and management of server infrastructure across multiple locations, ensuring high availability and performance.

-  AWS Cloud Management:  Optimize our Amazon Web Services (AWS) environment for cost, performance, and scalability as the company grows.

-  Kubernetes Management:  Implement and manage Kubernetes for efficient container orchestration, ensuring our applications are scalable, resilient, and effectively managed.

-  Monitoring and Analytics:  Utilize Grafana to set up and manage monitoring and analytics systems, providing real-time insights into system performance and potential issues.

-  Trading Software Management:  Leverage in-depth knowledge of Hummingbot trading software to optimize trading strategies and integrate them seamlessly into our technology stack.

-  Trading Strategy Development:  Write additional trading strategies and logic to enhance our market-making capabilities.

-  Strategic Planning:  Contribute to the strategic planning of the company’s technology roadmap, making key decisions on tools, architecture, and scaling in alignment with business goals.

-  Communication and Collaboration:  Work effectively with a geographically dispersed team across Asia and Eastern Europe, demonstrating strong communication skills in English and a calm, professional demeanor.

-  Conference Representation:  Represent the company at conferences and industry events, requiring a highly presentable appearance and strong public speaking skills.

Qualifications 

-  Technical Expertise:  

  - Mastery of Python and Cython.

  - Extensive experience with FIX protocol.

  - Strong knowledge of Amazon Web Services (AWS) configuration, servers, databases, and tools.

  - Proficiency with Grafana for monitoring and analytics.

  - In-depth experience with Hummingbot trading software.

  - Proficiency with Kubernetes for container orchestration and management.

  - Experience in managing server infrastructure across multiple locations.

-  Security and Compliance:  

  - Strong understanding of security best practices and the ability to implement robust security measures across all systems.

-  Documentation Skills:  

  - Exceptional ability to document systems, processes, and code clearly and thoroughly.

-  Communication Skills:  

  - Excellent written and spoken English.

  - Experience working with a geographically diverse team, particularly in Asia and Eastern Europe.

-  Personal Qualities:  

  - Calm demeanor and strong work ethic.

  - Highly presentable, with the ability to represent the company effectively at conferences and industry events.

-  Preferred Qualifications: 

  - Experience working in or studying quantitative finance is a huge plus.

-  Travel:  

  - Willingness to travel as needed for conferences and other business needs.
