A modern approach to sudden cardiac arrest protection that includes the wearable device, the patient app and the remote patient data platform. It is a digital healthcare system developed with C++, C#, .NET, React, Mobile Android Kotlin, BLE, Tablet Java, Bluetooth classic, RxJava, iOS Swift 5.0 and UIKit.

Project for a customer based in the USA with Slovak GMT+2 working time.

The Android application builds on top of the following frameworks, libraries and technologies:

• Kotlin, Java, Android SDK,
• BLE, Bluetooth classic, Protocol Buffers
• Koin, Dagger Hilt, RxJava, Room
• Retrofit, OkHttp, Moshi, BouncyCastle
• Barcode scanner, ExoPlayer, PdfViewer
• JUnit Jupiter, MockK, Mockito, Robolectric

Wage: From 2500€/gross. Actual salary will reflect your personal skills and experience

Requirements:

Required:

• Experience in developing Android apps
• Experience with Kotlin and Java programming languages
• Good knowledge of Android application structure, app components and lifecycle,
• Good knowledge of Android APIs and SDK and modern Android principles (e.g. be familiar with Android Jetpack, ConstraintLayout, Retrofit, data binding, dependency injection)
• Good knowledge of reactive programming principles such as RxJava, Coroutines
• Good knowledge of Android architecture principles, designing secure systems
• Experience with background tasks, multithreading
• Experience with unit testing
• Experience with VCS – Git

Nice to have (in addition to the above)

• Experience in Agile development
• Understanding CI/CD concepts
• Experience in software design – analysis, concepts, design patterns, documentation, and presentation

Job Responsibilities:

Development and maintenance of an Android application for an embedded medical device.
