You have experience in the leadership of teams – either as a manager or in key positions where you mentored more junior team members and helped them to make key decisions. We are looking for someone who can hit the ground running, but this could be a good opportunity for a first-time manager with relevant aptitude and experience.

Although this is not a hands-on engineering role, you will need a strong background in software or infrastructure engineering. You are a natural communicator and build productive relationships with stakeholders and peers.

Key Skills

• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to craft well-architected and easy-to-reason applications regardless of the “tier”.
• Solid toolkit of design patterns and ability to choose the right ones to apply to each problem.
• Good core understanding of JavaScript (ES2015+), HTML, and CSS to produce well-structured and semantic markup.
• Familiarity with full stack architectural patterns such as micro-frontends, Backend for front end, etc.
• Expertise writing scalable backend micro-services, bonus points if you know the JVM (Java and Kotlin mostly using Spring Boot).
• Any experience using deployment tools/technologies such as Docker, Kubernetes, chef, or puppet is advantageous
• Writing well-thought-out tests at the appropriate level, you know when it is appropriate to use TDD/BDD. Quality is extremely important and we expect it to be for our engineers too.
