Ad Engine (Delivery) Team

The Ad Engine team builds the core infrastructure for the Rubicon Project real time bidding exchange. Every day, as a company, we serve billions of ads, process terabytes of data and provide valuable data and insights to our publishers and buyers. Every month, hundreds of millions of people around the world use our systems. You will be working directly on the suite of applications at the forefront of this real-time processing. This runs from deciding which ad campaigns are eligible for the request, including pacing to buyer limits; soliciting bids; running an auction and serving code for the ad; all as efficiently as possible.

Requirements:

● Experience building high performance applications.

● Experience building and operating large-scale, high-traffic enterprise server applications would be a plus.

● Having experience with asynchronous network programming and/or NGINX would be also a plus.

● Demonstrated strong English language verbal and written communication skills

● 5+ year production experience coding in C++

● 2+ year production experience coding in an interpreted language such as Perl or Python

● Experience with SQL queries and stored procedures (MySQL is a plus)

● A strong understanding of algorithms, data structures, and an ability to recognize the business and technical trade-offs between different solutions

● Experience with development and CI tools: maven, git, Jenkins, Puppet, Crucible, Jira

● Experience working in a Linux environment

● Expertise building software in an agile development environment

● B.S. in Computer Science/Electrical Engineering or related science required
