The Product Office Team

You will be joining the exciting and high-pace world of our product office.

We are looking for a talented Senior UI Designer who is a retail B2C expert with substantial experience in the retail finance world who likes to work in a collaborative environment to innovate, advance, and contribute to the development of our S-World offering.

Your Role & Responsibilities

You produce amazing visual experiences across our products, whilst guiding our team on visual best practices and standards. You’ll be immediately helping our team shape a new Visual Language that will soon be rolled out to our key products. This is a hands-on role and reports to the Product Manager.

• You continuously collaborate with the product manager and engineers - from discovery to delivery, rather than just taking requirements or specifications to produce your designs.
• You sit side by side with the product manager as a full partner on the product discovery. You discover the necessary product solutions together.
• Rather than being measured on your output of design work you are measured on the success of the product.
• You are the custodian of the customer experience.
• You use prototypes as your primary canvas for communicating ideas, both internally and externally.
• You are generally comfortable with many different prototyping tools and are able to apply the correct one for the task at hand.
• You constantly test your ideas with real users and customers.
• You excel both, on Interaction Design and Visual Design, where

o  Interaction Design generally includes the underlying conceptual models (e.g., a photo management application may have photos, albums, projects), task flows, and control layouts to manipulate those concepts and

o  Visual Design includes composition, typography, and how the visual brand is expressed.

o  Having a more complete tool set allows you to work quickly at different levels of fidelity, depending on the context.

o  It also allows you to design experiences in ways that wouldn’t have been natural when thinking of interaction and visual design separately.

• We need design - not just as a service to make our product beautiful - but to discover the right product.

Requirements

Our Ideal candidate has experience in working with mobile and web based platforms with the ability to understand end user needs and requirements. You will become an instrumental part of the team and will bring product components together for launch and future releases.

·       Solid work experience in the web field (5+ years of experience as a UI, web, visual or whatever your job has been called so far) in the B2C world. Experience in the fintech industry is a plus.

·       A degree in design or the ability to convince us otherwise.

·       You have an entrepreneurial mind-set and you have a can-do attitude. You’re not afraid of getting your hands dirty.

·       The design of streamlined user interfaces is your obsession, this is where your design competence and creativity unfold.

·       Your graphical and conceptual ideas are invaluable. Through your creativity and energy, you inspire the team and ignite the spark that makes the project shine.

·       You know about Interaction Design, Branding, UX Research and UI Testing, Design Thinking

·       You are proficient in the tools of the trade like Figma, Sketch and other design tools

·       You communicate your ideas early and often, understand and develop user interface concepts and are able to visualize them in storyboards, user flows and wireframes.

·       You have basic knowledge of front-end software development in web components, HTML theming, CSS, React/React Native.

·       You have a design portfolio that shows a strong understanding of user-oriented design principles.

·       Applications without a portfolio will not be considered in the recruiting process.
