MIDDLE/SENIOR DEVOPS ENGINEER w SoftServe

This engagement is related to the email security business domain. One of the existing products will be migrated to a microservice architecture in multiple DCs and is going to be extensively using Kafka queuing service. The client is looking to have an SRE team that would take care of performance tuning of the Kafka cluster before production go-live and support it afterwards.

YOU ARE

• Confident in Linux and networking
• Strong in cloud solutions set up and support (AWS services, private cloud)
• Familiar with microservices architecture design and its peculiarities
• Able to do 1st level of application issues debugging
• Ready to take responsibility for technical decisions and clearly explain your vision
• Confident in leading/guiding small teams of engineers to drive them, decompose the complexity to tasks, mentor them and back-up if needed, communicate, and convince around that or another decision
• Experienced with Java/Python/Bash scripting
• Experienced in building and integrating with other systems for provisioning, monitoring, and alerting like Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack
• Having strong fundamentals in distributed system design, development, and deployment using Agile/DevOps practices
• Able to create and maintain appropriate documentation (Dataflow, Architecture, etc.)
• Having working knowledge on deploying Kubernetes applications, managing persistent volumes
