As an Engineer in Test at Insightsoftware you will work with a talented and dedicated team to build and maintain our DisclosureNet SaaS offering. You will work in an agile environment setting the standard for an ecosystem of cutting-edge product offerings by working with the latest technologies in the market, tackling challenging problems in the disclosure management world. DisclosureNet is a system used primarily in Canada and USA by top tier clients in the Legal, Accounting, Corporate, and Investor marketplace for retrieving corporately filed information on publicly traded companies.

Job Summary

We are looking for data quality analysts who have initiative and a good methodical and approach to their work. A positive attitude and good work ethic will help you excel in our firm. The role involves the collection and integration of corporate data to allow for better access, analysis, and retrieval. While communication skills are essential, these roles are not fully client-facing and have more emphasis on data entry and analysis.

Duties and responsibilities

What You’ll Do

• Coordinates and performs the preparation, verification, data entry, and editing of corporate data
• Interacts with other departments to resolve problems and inquiries, and to establish and maintain efficient data and information flow
• Retrieves, reviews, and inputs information in the prescribed format utilizing research techniques to help verify critical information
• Creates, maintains, and purges specified data as required; makes individual and/or mass corrections, modifications, and/or updates to data in files, as appropriate
• Resolves problems and inconsistencies with data
• Operates as a primary source of information on specialized data and client records for internal clientele
• Ensures strict confidentiality of client records
• Work closely with your Product Management, QA, and Backend colleagues whenever necessary.

Qualifications

What You’ll Need

• Advanced knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
• Data entry skills
• Skills to use personal computers and related software applications
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to details
• Excellent teamwork skills and the ability to excel in a fast-paced environment
• Strong communication skills in English – both written and verbal
• BSc or MSc degree in one of the following fields: Finance, Accounting, Business and Economics Bonus Points
• Familiarity with SQL (Basics) is preferred
• Experience working in an Agile environment, attending daily standups
• Good understanding of business applications
• Experience in working with web apps
• Understanding of JSON, XML, and other open standards for data interchange
