Working for the insurance product which helps customers buy insurance online, see the quotes and make payments.

Primarily working on the backend microservices developed using Java and facilitating the 2 scrum teams on improving their productivity and increasing the value delivered.

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Working as a Scrum Master and Agile Coach for the 2 Scrum teams working on the Java backend microservices.

• Facilitating the Daily Scrum, Spring Planning, Spring Review and Retrospective.

• Helping the Product Owner in maintaining the Product backlog and making sure we have enough Stories refined and in ready state.

• Coming up with the Definition of Done, Definition of Ready and Acceptance Criteria formats for different teams.

• Removing the impediments the teams faces on a day to day basis which cannot be resolved by themselves or helping them in self managing certain impediments themselves.

• Help with the code review and make sure the coding standards are followed.

• Making sure we write enough UTs and automate enough of our tests to reduce the manual regression effort.

Working for a Singapore based client, Sistic. The BookingEngine product that they have is a Event management platform which can be used by users to book event tickets like for a play or theatre etc. There are two modules we are working on. One is the API microservices to help with the end to end booking journey. This can be used by any other third party system to get the event details and book the tickets using our public APIs. The other is a orchestration engine which provides many functionalities directly by merging several APIs together.

Xology reporter and analysis tool helps the doctors to view the reports such as CT scan, MR scan etc and also provides some intelligence based on the images to provide analysis of the issues that are seen in these scanned images. It also provides different views to the doctor so that report can be shown in a better way to the customers and make them understand the report in a meaningful way with 3D views, Cinematic rendering etc.

GCSS is an end-to-end booking solution provided by Maersk so that the customer service personnel or the customers themselves can book shipping of commodities from point A to point B. It might be through ship, rail, trucks etc.

The solution interacts with other applications for routing, charging, weight measurement etc and takes care of booking the shipping for the customers.

Providing the end to end solution for IPTV and OTT streaming. Working on the back-end Java microservices using REST APIs which fetches the metadata information for the UI to present to the users. Worked with teams for EPG development, Android app and iOS app, Smart TV apps integration.

Toolbar is a UI tool embedded in all the html pages that the user browses. It is embedded in an iFrame in all the html pages. This tool shows the user the current data usage and also several other options like packages that are recommended for them to buy, one touch App integration like Facebook, twitter etc.

I worked on a team which developed the back-end to get the metadata for the users usage data, packages etc.

SCG is a backend application with several modules for bandwidth control, user management, charging and rule management. This product is used by telecom operators to make sure bandwidth control is maintained for the users according to the package they have subscribed to. And we can also maintain the rules to be applied for the users based on several factors.

I worked on a module called EventServer which basically took care of charging the user based on their usage. It also helped with the rule management by making sure the bandwidth control module has all necessary info about the user to perform the control. Also worked on another module which tool care of sending SMS to the users based on the usage limit expiry etc.
