We are seeking a highly skilled Backend Engineer with a strong focus on performance optimization and security to join our client's project - a start-up in the healthcare domain. The professional networking mobile app is fully serverless and hosted on, utilizing external APIs such as GetStream and Algolia. The ideal candidate will be responsible for enhancing backend performance to achieve near real-time functionality, securing the application in preparation for a full-scale Vulnerability Assessment and Penetration Testing (VAPT), and assisting with load testing. It's a part-time collaboration for 3 months.Responsibilities:Optimize backend performance for real-time application responsiveness.Implement and enhance security measures for serverless applications.Prepare the application for VAPT and address any identified vulnerabilities.Assist in load testing to ensure scalability and reliability under high traffic.Collaborate with front-end engineers and other team members to ensure seamless integration.Required Skills:Proficiency in Node.js and TypeScript.Extensive experience with serverless architecture (Lambda, API Gateway, DynamoDB).Knowledge of performance optimization techniques for backend systems.Strong understanding of security best practices and experience with securing serverless applications.Familiarity with external APIs like GetStream and Algolia.Experience with load testing tools and methodologies.Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
