Description:

Customer – a large department store in the Netherlands in the field of online shopping (more than 100+ million visitors, ~2 million regular customers, and several million shipments per year). We are looking for people willing to work in a fast-paced, solutions-oriented, and creative environment.

Requirements:

• Expertise as Oracle DBA
• Expertise or willingness to learn Postgres and other databases.
• Expertise or willingness to learn AWS database services like RDS, DynamoDb, QLB, etc
• Expertise or willingness to learn software development basics, like git
• Hands-on experience with database standards and end-user applications
• Excellent knowledge of data backup, recovery, security, integrity, and SQL
• Up-to-date with trends and developments in database administration

Preferences:

Postgres, PostgreSQL, AWS, Amazon Relational Database Service (RDS), AWS DynamoDB, Git

You’re an intelligent and analytical DBA, with some expertise with Oracle under your belt. You understand how applications and databases go together to deliver the value of the applications we use for our customers.

You can help and think along to set up the database administration and support.

You’ve demonstrated that you can dive into a problem area, think of a solution, and can get others to help you get that solution live. You like to pick the odd problems out, not the obvious ones and you have a knack to learn the toolset to solve them.
