DevOps engineer in Cola Games

Objectives of this Role

• Building and setting up new development tools and infrastructure
• Working on ways to automate and improve development and release processes
• Ensuring that systems are safe and secure against cybersecurity threats
• Identifying technical problems and developing software updates and ‘fixes’
• Working with software developers and software engineers to ensure that development follows established processes and works as intended
• Planning out projects and being involved in project management decisions

Daily and Monthly Responsibilities

• Deploy updates and fixes
• Build tools to reduce occurrences of errors and improve customer experience
• Develop software to integrate with internal back-end systems
• Perform root cause analysis for production errors
• Investigate and resolve technical issues
• Develop scripts to automate visualization
• Design procedures for system troubleshooting and maintenance
• Load monitoring. Analysis of the cost of services and cost optimization.

Skills and Qualifications

• BSc in Computer Science, Engineering or relevant field (preferred, not mandatory)
• Experience with AWS infrastructures;
• Knowledge of Kubernetes core components and Dockers;
• Experience with MySQL, PostgreSQL (Amazon RDS);
• Strong experience of administration linux distributions (Debian/Centos/Ubuntu/etc);
• Experience with monitoring systems: Grafana, ELK stack, Prometheus;
• Ability to write complex scripts (shell/python);
• Experience with Gitlab CI/CD
• Understanding of: TCP / IP, DNS, Load-balancers, PKI / TLS / SSL, network security.Will be a plus: experience with Werf, Helm
